Unsettled

The building blocks of this song fell out of my loop pedal over the course of about half an hour one evening. It originally had a lot more bounce and funkiness to it, but when the band jammed on it we realised it worked much better with a straight rhythm. Producing it was a lot of fun, as we slathered my drum kit in mics, piled on tons of layers (the rhythm guitars alone were quad-tracked with four mics on the amp), and mixed it using hardware. The experience was a far cry from the lyrical content—Unsettled is easily the most bitter thing I've ever written.
